Technology offers us endless shortcuts:
- Netflix: Quick entertainment without effort
- TikTok: Fast, bite-sized creativity
- Tinder: Easy romantic connections
- Reddit: Quick group belonging
- Instagram: Edited life highlights
- Facebook: Curated personal showcase
- ChatGPT: Instant conversation
- YouTube: Quick experience consumption
- Twitter/X: Rapid opinion sharing
- Medium: Fast expertise display
- Porn: instant intimacy microwaves
This is passive consumption masquerading as “experience” — an Algorithmic validation over genuine achievement.
But shortcuts don’t lead to meaningful destinations…
The real work requires:
- Meaningful engagement
- Sustained focus
- Human heart
- Commitment
- Patience
This is a illusion of “progress” that looks like movement but feels like emptiness. 😐
As designers, are we chasing clicks or creating real impact? Simplicity isn’t about shortcuts—it’s about purpose.
