Fitting a Giraffe into a Suitcase

We never have enough hours to fully bring all our design ideas to life. It’s like trying to fit a giraffe into a suitcase! So, we shrink our ideas to match the time we have.

Stakeholders always want the biggest and best app delivered as soon as possible, so we start with a minimum viable product and iterate over time.

We think our plan is so good that we don’t need to tell them we need more time, because we always plan appropriate workloads for each cycle.

But here’s the mistake: thinking our plan can always fit the work into the time without adjustments.

In reality, we constantly adjust our ideas to fit the calendar because unexpected issues arise.

Time limitations are an inherent part of development that no process can completely eliminate.
